Auckland Domain ~ The Wintergarden Complex

Established after World War I and is a protected Heritage Site consisting of two display glass houses containing temperate plants and tropical plants, a formal courtyard with pond, and a fernery within an old quarry. Entry is free.

Auckland Domain Sculpture Walk

The Auckland Domain hosts sculptural works by some of New Zealands leading artists.  Take a self guided walking tour and stroll around the eight large works which were installed in the Domain during 2004 and 2005.

About 5 minutes walk from the Wintergarden Pavilion is the Museum, which is open every day from 10am-5pm, but closed on Christmas Day.

Music in the Parks

Line-up:  Paul Bosauder Flamenco ProjectBazurka

Bringing a taste of Spain to Auckland, Paul Bosauder is an award-winning, New Zealand-raised flamenco guitarist. For the last ten years Paul has worked with Spain’s elite flamenco artists.

Bazurka are a bunch of kiwi muscians with an interest in gypsy folk music from the Balkan states. They lay the genre they are imitating authentically, wqhilst incorporating their variedbackgrounds and influences.

 

Whatever you're into - Jazz, Rock, Hip-Hop, Dub or Pop there is something for everyone. Free admission, hosted at the band rotunda (adjacent to the Wintergarden Pavilion)

Auckland Lantern Festival

Celebrate Chinese New Year at the 2018 Auckland Lantern Festival! where we will welcome in the Year of the Dog.
